  Rick Shell, Rick is about the first  face you'll see when you come to  visit us, Rick is our main greeter  and all around get'er done guy.






Robert Honeycutt, Robert brings his camera gear each week and does all our filming for us, he also burns DVD's of our services and helps us get things posted to our Youtube site and here on our media page.




Steve and Anita Wright, leade our special third Friday event callled "The Gathering" Steve plays banjo and Anita plays the fiddle and mandolin as well as sings with our praise band.





  Steve and Deb Oudean bring 30 plus years of musical expertice by playing drums, guitar, string bass and fiddle, Steve  and Deb both help with vocals and often Steve leads us in worship.  Both of these folks have not only talent but a tremendous heart for the Lord!

Pastor Doug Briney
Pastor Doug and his family have lived in Alaska since 1992.  Originally from California, Doug recieved his bachelors degree from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College in 1988 in Music.  Working as a Youth and Music Minister unti 2004 when feeling led to Pastor he became a gifted worship leader as well as communicator. As a Sr. Pastor he led in a building project, developed small groups, men's ministry, discipleship for deacons and partnered with over 30 different churches brining over 200 volunteers to help in mission trips.  Doug has served the Alaska Baptist Convention as a trainer and on the ABC Executive Board.  His leadership skills were also developed futher by serving as Moderator for the Hatcher Pass Association.  

Doug's love of country music was the door that God used to implant the vision for The Cowboy Church of Anchorage.   With a heart for evangelism and a love for the outdoors, he believes God can use him to reach the Cowboys of Alaska with the Good News that God loves them, has a purpose for them and desires a relationship with them.  

Open Ministry Positions


Greeters- These folks must not be shy, easy to smile and laugh, you are the front line, the first faces visitors will see.  Greeters should be 10 minutes early and in place each service.

Nusery Teachers- Do you have a love for little ones, the patience of a Saint and believe the Nursery is more then just childcare?  We need you!  This job requires a background check to make our nursery the best it can be.
